Seamless is a repeating pattern , drawing from the Semiato flooring of the Fondazione Claudio Buziol. The beautiful building within which Bethan and her fellow designers were invited to work during their time in Venice as part of the buildings residency program.  This wonderful building  is full of pattern, Bethan was drawn to the mix between real and imitation, having to knock and touch each doorframe to find out which marble was painted and which was real. Taking patternation from traditional Floor techniques of Venice (seminato) especially the work by local Artisan Roberto Patrizio. It mixes photographic images of paper marbling with mark making imitating the textures and colours Bethan photographed around Venice.

Inspired by the Fondazione Claudio Buziol
