Shrine – Candelabra
Commission to design a candelabra as a centerpiece for a table,
Bethan plays with graphic shapes, inspired by classic 1950s fabrics, and explodes them into 3D forms.
A interested in the connection between candles and worship, is also explored through the referencing of forms from miniature temples created as portable altars with the crisscrossed, wooden bows evoke Japanese interlocking construction, which is often found in temple architecture.
