Taking inspiration from shrine and altar displays, Bethan creates wall and tabletop pieces designed to give focus to the highly personal objects they hold, while embracing them within the kaleidoscopic universe developed for her contemporary Bluestocking Salons.
These new pieces, designed specifically for the London Salon and its theme Mother Tongue, create a focal point behind each object through the tessellations and placement of the bespoke Alpi wood, allowing them to act as a dynamic backdrop to each creative’s chosen Mother Tongue object.
Fabrication: ALPIlignum wood veneer, composite boards (poplar plywood and MDF), varnish, steel and brass.
